Title of Post: Project Worker. This role is part of the Safetynet and Ana Liffey Drug Project Eastern European Primary Healthcare Initiative

Location: Dublin city centre

Salary: €32,351 (per annum)

Duration: 3 months renewable
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week, flexible between 8 am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

Ana Liffey Drug Project and Safetynet are working together to provide a fixed term street outreach project in Dublin’s Inner City. The Safetynet and Ana Liffey Drug Project Eastern European Primary Healthcare Initiative aims to engage with previously non-engaged individuals in a primary health care capacity. It is imagined that this cohort will have a range of ancillary issues, including alcohol and/or drug issues, accommodation issues, and benefits and entitlements issues.

The role of the project worker will be to carry out street outreach with a volunteer /intern, engage with Eastern European individuals who have health needs and are not currently engaged in medical care and refer them to appropriate services.

Essential criteria:

  • Relevant qualification
  • Fluent Polish speaker
  • At least 2 years’ experience in working with people with substance use issues and /or marginalized groups
  • Essential competencies: communication skills, commitment to providing the highest level of service, professionalism, respect for others.
